Tragic Accident Claims Life of Henderson Man in South Las Vegas Valley
A devastating single-vehicle crash in the south Las Vegas valley has left a community in mourning as a 53-year-old man from Henderson tragically lost his life. The incident occurred on a fateful Sunday morning, March 3, at around 11:18 a.m. near the I-15 and Silverado Ranch Boulevard south off-ramp.
The driver, identified as Paul James De Michele, was travelling south on I-15 when the unexpected tragedy unfolded. Reports from the Nevada State Police indicate that De Michele’s van veered off course, failing to maintain its lane and colliding with the left concrete barrier wall on the highway.
The van eventually came to a halt next to the concrete wall on the far left shoulder near the I-15 and Silverado Ranch Blvd, south off-ramp. First responders found De Michele unresponsive at the scene, and immediate medical assistance was provided before he was rushed to a nearby hospital. Tragically, despite all efforts, De Michele was pronounced dead upon arrival at the medical facility.
Investigation Underway by Nevada State Police
The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol – Southern Command M.I.R.T (Multidisciplinary Investigation & Reconstruction Team) is currently conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash. This marks the 9th fatal crash handled by the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol – Southern Command, with a total of 9 fatalities recorded in 2024.
