A tragic incident occurred in Barrington Hills recently, where a 30-year-old man from Carpentersville lost his life in a fiery vehicle collision. The man, identified as Josue Campuzano-Cuin, succumbed to injuries sustained during a fiery crash that took place on February 28.

Details of the Crash

Authorities from the Lake County Coroner’s Office confirmed the identity of the deceased and revealed that the fatal crash occurred at the intersection of County Line Road and Bellwood Drive. The Barrington Hills Police Department and the Barrington-Countryside Fire Protection District responded to the scene around 8:50 p.m. following reports of a two-vehicle collision with injuries.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a Ford pickup truck, driven by Campuzano-Cuin, had collided head-on with a westbound Hyundai Palisade. The impact of the crash resulted in a fire that engulfed the passenger compartment of one of the vehicles, leading to the tragic demise of Campuzano-Cuin.

Condition of the Other Driver

The other driver involved in the collision, a 46-year-old woman from Algonquin, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. As of now, her current condition remains undisclosed, leaving many concerned about her well-being.
