The Discovery of a Foreign National’s Body at Peninsula Hotel in Chattogram

On a fateful Monday, police made a grim discovery at Peninsula Hotel in Chattogram, where the lifeless body of a foreign national was found. The deceased was identified as Zdzislaw Michale Czerbaya, a Polish national who had been staying at the hotel.

Background of the Deceased

Zdzislaw Michale Czerbaya was employed as a quality controller at a buying house in Dhaka. He had travelled to Chattogram to conduct quality checks at Kenpark Bangladesh Apparel Pvt Ltd within the Chattogram Export Processing Zone (CEPZ).

Details of the Incident

According to Nobel Chakma, additional deputy police commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (Kotwali zone), the Polish national had checked into room no. 915 at Peninsula Hotel on February 24. Concerned hotel staff raised an alarm on Monday morning when there was no response from his room.

Police Investigation

Upon entering the room, authorities discovered the lifeless body of Zdzislaw Michale Czerbaya. Police are currently conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding his death. Mostafizur Rahman, deputy police commissioner, noted that the body displayed multiple injury marks, particularly on the head, and blood stains were found on the bed and floor of the hotel room.
