Tragic Accident Claims Five Lives in Telangana

Early Monday morning, a devastating accident took place on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru national highway near Kothakota in Telangana. A car carrying twelve individuals veered off the road and collided with a tree, resulting in the loss of five lives and leaving seven others critically injured.

The victims, who hailed from Bellary district in Karnataka, were returning home after attending a wedding in Hyderabad. Among the deceased were three children – Yasir (7 months), Bushra (2 years), and Maria (5 years) – along with Abdul Rehman (62) and Saleema Bee (85).

The injured individuals, including three children, were promptly rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. Unfortunately, three of them are currently in critical condition. The injured parties were identified as Sameera (5), Hussain (10), Sahfi, Khadeerunnisa, Habeeb, Ali, and Shahjan Baig.

Following the accident, six of the injured were transferred to a hospital in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, while one person was admitted to the Wanaparthy hospital for medical attention.

Details of the Tragic Incident

The fatal crash occurred between 2.30 a.m. and 3 a.m. on the highway, with authorities suspecting that the driver may have momentarily fallen asleep at the wheel. The impact of the collision left the car severely damaged, requiring rescue workers to spend over an hour extracting the bodies and rescuing the survivors.

The Wanaparthy district in Telangana, known for its picturesque landscapes and historical significance, witnessed this heart-wrenching incident that has left the community in mourning. The local authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
