Tragedy Strikes as Bodies of Drowned Students in Tamil Nadu Recovered

The serene beaches of Mahabalipuram in Tamil Nadu turned into a scene of tragedy as the bodies of all students from Andhra Pradesh who drowned on March 2 have been recovered, confirmed Mamallapuram police on Monday, March 4.

Reports indicate that a group of 40 Arts and Science college students from Chittoor and Anantapur districts in Andhra Pradesh had embarked on a trip to Mahabalipuram. After visiting local monuments, the group made their way to the beach for some relaxation. Approximately 20 students ventured into the water, only to be met with a devastating turn of events.

Ten students were tragically pulled into the ocean by a massive wave, prompting cries for help from their peers. Fortunately, five students were rescued by quick-acting fishermen in the area. Sadly, the body of one student, identified as Vijay (24), was discovered washed up ashore. The search for the remaining four missing students continued until their bodies were finally recovered.
