Tragic Two-Car Crash Leaves One Dead and Two Critically Injured in Suffolk

Early Monday morning, a devastating two-car crash occurred in Suffolk, resulting in the death of one man and leaving two others critically injured. The incident took place on Portsmouth Boulevard, a busy thoroughfare in the heart of the city.

According to Jennifer Moore, a Suffolk city spokeswoman, the collision occurred at around 7 a.m. The driver of a Kia Soul was traveling west on Portsmouth Boulevard when their vehicle collided with an eastbound car in the road’s 1200 block. The eastbound car was reportedly attempting to make a left turn across the boulevard, possibly heading towards a nearby gas station.

The driver of the westbound car, identified as Ray Fulayter, 52, from Chesapeake, tragically succumbed to his injuries after being airlifted to the hospital. The two occupants of the eastbound car, both adults, sustained life-threatening injuries and were rushed to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

Ongoing Investigation and Uncertain Outcome

As of now, the investigation into the crash is still ongoing, with authorities working to determine the exact circumstances that led to the collision. It remains unclear whether any charges will be filed in connection with the incident.
