Man Fatally Shot in Broad Daylight at Mohali Airport Road
Reports have emerged from Punjab of a tragic incident where a man was fatally shot in broad daylight at Mohali Airport Road. The victim, identified as Rajesh Dogra from Jammu and Kashmir, was targeted by unidentified attackers who discharged a minimum of 19 bullets at him, as per the findings of the police and forensic teams.
Police Investigation Underway
Mohali SSP Sandeep Garg confirmed the incident, expressing deep regret over the unfortunate turn of events. He provided details stating that Rajesh Dogra was shot dead at the spot on Mohali Airport Road. The police have identified the victim through documents retrieved from him, including his Aadhaar Card, which indicated his residency in Jammu. Sandeep Garg mentioned that 4-5 unidentified individuals arrived in vehicles and carried out the shooting. The police have activated their teams and are following leads to apprehend the culprits.
Possible Motive of Longstanding Animosity
The police are looking into a possible motive behind the murder, suspecting longstanding animosity as a potential cause. Following the incident, the victim’s body was transported to the civil hospital in Phase 6, where senior police officers also arrived to assess the crime scene.

Notably, this incident in Punjab comes close on the heels of a similar tragedy in Haryana’s Hisar district, where Sarpanch Sanjay Duhan was shot dead by unknown assailants while en route to a function. The parallels between these two incidents highlight the need for increased vigilance and security measures in the region.
