In a heartbreaking turn of events in the town of Herman, a 25-year-old man tragically lost his life due to a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident unfolded after the man, who was a passenger in a vehicle, engaged in a pursuit with Sheboygan County Sheriff’s deputies on Saturday night. The man was believed to have fired a gun at the deputies during the chase, leading to this devastating outcome.

Suspect Driver on the Run

The driver of the vehicle, identified as 28-year-old Mario Rezall Dajaun Doyle Jr., managed to evade law enforcement and is currently being sought. Although the suspect vehicle was located in Sheboygan County, Doyle is not believed to still be in the area. Authorities are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact local law enforcement immediately and to refrain from approaching him as he is considered dangerous.

Multi-Agency Response

Following the distressing incident, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has been called in to investigate the matter. Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that no officers discharged their firearms during the pursuit, which began when a sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop the vehicle on State 32 and County FF in the town of Herman late on Saturday night.

Drone Teams Deployed

In a collaborative effort to locate the suspect, both Sheboygan County and Manitowoc drone teams were dispatched to assist in the search. As the drone approached the area, officers heard a distant gunshot, prompting a thorough investigation. Eventually, the drone team identified a heat signature, leading to the discovery of the passenger with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Tragically, the individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Continued Investigation

The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office has chosen to withhold further details until the driver, Mario Rezall Dajaun Doyle Jr., is apprehended. The search for Doyle continues, and authorities are working tirelessly to bring closure to this distressing chapter.
