Woman Found Dead in Nashville Creek Identified

The body of a woman discovered in a Nashville creek has been identified as Emily Bradley, a 44-year-old woman who had been missing for several weeks. Authorities are treating her death as a homicide.

Emily Bradley’s body was found in Whites Creek, which is located just a short drive away from the area where she was last seen by people who knew her. The cause of her death has been determined to be blunt force trauma, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Discovery of Emily Bradley’s Body

Bradley was officially reported missing on Feb. 21, although she had already been absent for several days before the report was filed. Prior to her disappearance, she was last seen leaving her home on Feb. 18. Police issued a statement asking for public assistance in locating her, mentioning that she had driven away in her silver 2014 Chevrolet Cruze with a Florida license plate and a noticeable dent on the trunk.

Despite the ongoing investigation into Bradley’s death, her car has not yet been located. Homicide detectives continue to search for the vehicle and have urged members of the community to come forward with any information regarding Bradley’s death or the whereabouts of her missing car by contacting the local Crime Stoppers line.

Concerns for Emily Bradley’s Safety

Prior to the discovery of Bradley’s body, her friends and family expressed concerns about her safety. They shared that there were signs indicating she may have been in danger, such as her emotional support dog being found alone at home with the heater still running. Additionally, it was unusual for Bradley to go several days without contacting her parents.

Friends of Bradley took proactive measures, including distributing flyers with information about her disappearance around Nashville, in an effort to locate her. Tips received after she went missing suggested that she may have been at risk.
