The victim has been identified as 61-year-old Derrick Dewayne Taylor, a resident of Brighton.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, the collision took place at the intersection of 9th Avenue North and 25th Street North in Bessemer. Derrick Dewayne Taylor was riding his motorcycle when the tragic accident occurred, leading to the collision with the Ford Explorer SUV.
