Tragic Rollover Crash Claims Life of New Haven Man on Interstate 91 in Meriden
A devastating incident took place late Sunday night on Interstate 91 in Meriden, resulting in the loss of a New Haven man’s life. The victim, identified as 31-year-old Charles Davenport, was driving a Kia Niro on Interstate 91 South in Meriden, just north of Exit 19, around 11:25 p.m. when tragedy struck.
Details of the Crash
According to the Connecticut State Police, Davenport veered into the left shoulder, lost control of his vehicle, and ended up driving into the grassy median. The Kia Niro then rolled over, ultimately striking a tree stump. The impact of the crash was fatal, and Davenport was pronounced dead at the scene.

State police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic crash. The authorities are working diligently to determine the cause of the accident and any factors that may have contributed to this unfortunate outcome.
