The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is investigating a homicide after a victim of a shooting in January succumbed to his injuries.
Details of the Incident
Following an incident on Jan. 20, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the 1200 block of Emerson Street, NW, for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive man outside a vehicle, afflicted with multiple gunshot wounds. He was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.
Identification of the Victim
Tragically, on Feb. 28, the victim, identified as 40-year-old Andre Wilson, passed away due to the severity of his injuries. The community mourns the loss of a life taken too soon.
Appeal for Information
The MPD is urging anyone with information regarding this tragic incident to come forward. A reward is being offered for any details that lead to the arrest and conviction of the individual or individuals responsible for this heinous crime.
