Breaking News: Fifth Suspect Arrested in Connection to Deadly Shooting in Las Vegas

In a recent development, a fifth suspect has been apprehended in connection to a fatal shooting that took place in Las Vegas earlier this year. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department identified a 17-year-old male juvenile as a suspect in the shooting incident at an apartment complex located in the 2200 block of North Torrey Pines Drive.

Suspect Apprehended in California

The suspect was taken into custody on Saturday, March 2 in El Centro, California. He faces charges of open murder, robbery, and conspiracy to commit robbery. The LVMPD has confirmed that the juvenile is currently awaiting extradition back to Las Vegas to face trial.

Previous Arrests in Connection to the Case

This latest arrest follows four other individuals who were previously apprehended in connection to the same shooting incident. Among those arrested were two 18-year-olds who were implicated in the crime.

Details of the Shooting Incident

On the night of January 2, officers responded to reports of a shooting at the apartment complex on North Torrey Pines Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered a man inside an apartment with a gunshot wound. Tragically, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Additionally, another individual arrived at a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries sustained during the same shooting. The police were able to link his injuries to the incident at the apartment complex.
