A tragic incident unfolded in the quiet village of Makhnah in the Bahedi police station area of Darbhanga district, Bihar. A photographer, Sushil Sahni, met with a horrifying end at a birthday party hosted by Rakesh Sahni for his daughter. The celebration took a dark turn when Rakesh Sahni allegedly shot dead Sushil Sahni after becoming dissatisfied with his camera’s low battery.
Details of the Incident
It is reported that Sushil Sahni had to leave the party to charge his camera’s battery, which led to a confrontation between him and Rakesh Sahni. The disagreement escalated into a physical altercation, culminating in the accused allegedly putting a pistol in Sushil’s mouth and firing. The victim was then rushed to Darbhanga DMCH Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Family of the Accused at Large
The entire family of Rakesh Sahni, the prime suspect in the case, is currently on the run. It is believed that Rakesh Sahni is involved in the illegal liquor business, adding a layer of complexity to the investigation. The police have recovered two empty cartridges from the scene of the crime and have initiated a thorough probe into the matter.

SSP Jagunath Reddy of Darbhanga has assured that the police are leaving no stone unturned in their investigation. The body of Sushil Sahni has been sent for postmortem, and the authorities are working diligently to bring the perpetrators to justice.
