Shocking Home Invasion in Beach Park, Illinois

Three individuals were apprehended in Beach Park, Illinois during a shocking home invasion incident that unfolded on Friday morning. Melinda Uribe, 30, and Robert M. Carr, 41, both from Mundelein, have been charged with home invasion and residential burglary. Keith T. Daniels, 43, also from Mundelein, faces charges of criminal trespass to a residence.

Law Enforcement Response

At approximately 9 a.m. on Friday, Lake County Sheriff’s deputies rushed to a manufactured home in the 38700 block of North Sheridan Road following a distress call from a person in need of assistance to retrieve her belongings from the residence. The caller, identified as Uribe, did not have a permanent address and occasionally stayed at the home where deputies were dispatched.

Deputies were informed that Uribe was distraught because the homeowner refused to open the door to allow her to collect her possessions. After knocking on the door without a response, the deputies advised Uribe to return later with an escort from the sheriff’s office to retrieve her items. Uribe then left the scene.

Subsequent Events

Approximately an hour later, a deputy stationed in the vicinity witnessed Uribe returning to the property in a vehicle. Uribe and Carr swiftly exited the vehicle and forcefully entered the residence. Daniels followed suit shortly after.

Uribe and Carr proceeded to physically assault a 29-year-old male resident of the home. Responding deputies swiftly entered the premises and successfully apprehended Uribe, Carr, and Daniels. The trio was then transported to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.

Current Status

Despite the incident, the victim did not seek medical attention at the time. Uribe, Carr, and Daniels are currently in custody awaiting their initial court appearance scheduled for Saturday.

This shocking home invasion in Beach Park serves as a reminder of the importance of prompt law enforcement response in ensuring the safety and security of residents in the community.
