Accident – Death – Obituary News : New Delhi: A tragic incident occurred on Friday when a 35-year-old man, identified as Pratap Singh, lost his life after a speeding car hit his scooter from behind, causing him to fall off the Badarpur flyover. The deceased, a resident of New Seemapuri, was on his way from Faridabad to Sarita Vihar when the unfortunate accident took place.

The driver of the car, Virender Rana, also 35 years old and a resident of Uttam Nagar, has been arrested in connection with the incident. The police were informed about the incident at 6.17 pm and upon reaching the scene, it was discovered that Singh had been hit from behind while on the flyover near Tughlakabad metro station. The impact was so severe that he fell off the flyover onto the service road below. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Singh was declared dead upon arrival.

Rana, who works as an assistant manager in the purchase department of a two-wheeler showroom in Noida, was reportedly on his way home from Faridabad at the time of the accident. Authorities suspect that he was driving at a high speed, leading to the fatal collision. A case has been registered against him as investigations continue.

The victim, who was unmarried, worked for a company in Indirapuram and was responsible for delivering chemicals to customers. It is believed that Singh might have been returning from a customer visit at the time of the accident, as chemical samples were found in his bag.
