Tragic Death of Nex Benedict Sparks Investigation into Bullying at Owasso High School
A heartbreaking incident unfolded at Owasso High School, where 16-year-old Nex Benedict tragically lost their life a day after a violent altercation in a girls’ toilet. Family members revealed that Nex had been a victim of bullying, shedding light on the challenges faced by the teenager.
Nex, who identified as non-binary and used they/them pronouns, was involved in a fight on February 8 that ultimately led to their untimely passing. The circumstances surrounding the altercation have raised concerns about the school’s handling of sex-based harassment.
