Tragic Electrocution Claims the Life of a 15-Year-Old Student in Abuja

A somber atmosphere enveloped the Government Science Secondary School in Pyakasa/Maitama, Abuja, as news of the untimely demise of 15-year-old student Meshach Ogwuche Agaba spread like wildfire. The young student met a tragic end after being electrocuted in a heartbreaking incident that occurred within the school premises.

The Unfortunate Incident

Reports indicate that the fatal incident took place on a fateful Wednesday morning around 7:30 am. Meshach, a promising student at the school, was near a water tap located close to a wall lined with barbed wire when the tragedy struck. In a desperate attempt to fetch water, the young boy lost his footing and inadvertently came into contact with a live electrical cable connected to the barbed wire.

Despite the swift actions taken by bystanders, Meshach was rushed to the nearby Maitama District Hospital for urgent medical attention. Tragically, the efforts of the medical personnel were in vain as the young student was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival at the hospital.
