Details of the Incident

The victim, identified as 45-year-old Robert Martinez, was found suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite being swiftly transported to a nearby hospital and receiving lifesaving measures, Martinez succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.

Investigators from the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail quickly arrived at the scene to take over the investigation. It was determined that Martinez had been shot near a homeless encampment northeast of Hillside Drive.
