Tragic Bus Accident in Dindori District, Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, Feb 29: A devastating bus accident in the serene countryside of Dindori district in Madhya Pradesh has left a community in mourning. The incident, which took place under the watchful eyes of the Shahpura police station, claimed the lives of 14 individuals and left over 20 others severely injured.

The ill-fated bus was carrying around 40 passengers who had been joyously celebrating at a wedding in a neighbouring district. The journey back home turned into a nightmare as the bus lost control and overturned, scattering chaos and despair along the quiet roads of Dindori.

Victims of the Tragedy

The victims of this heart-wrenching accident have been identified as Madan Singh, Preetam, Punnu, Sombati, Lal Singh, Mulia Devi, Titli Bai, Savitri, Sarju, Ramibai, Basanti Devi, Rambai, Kripal, and Bhaduri Bai. Each of their names now etched in the memory of the community forever.

Government Response

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, deeply saddened by the loss of lives, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. In a gesture of solidarity, the Chief Minister has announced a financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each to support the families of those injured in the accident. Additionally, he has instructed his cabinet minister Sampatia Uike to personally visit the site of the tragedy.

The picturesque landscapes of Dindori district now bear witness to a sombre gathering of grieving families and a community coming together to support one another in this time of immense sorrow. As the sun sets over the horizon, the shadows of loss and tragedy loom large over the once peaceful countryside.
