Tragic Shooting Incident Leaves Three Dead in Frome, Westmoreland

On a fateful night in Frome, Westmoreland, a peaceful gathering at a local bar turned into a scene of terror as seven individuals were shot, resulting in the tragic deaths of three men. The deceased have been identified as Everol Rowe, a well-known shop owner and broom maker, Kemar Smith, also known as ‘Beenie Bud,’ and Andre McDonald, all hailing from Westmoreland.

Details of the Incident

The harrowing incident took place around 12:50 a.m. at the bar in Frome, where the now-deceased men were enjoying their evening amongst other patrons. Suddenly, a white Toyota Axio pulled up, and two armed men emerged from the vehicle, unleashing a barrage of gunfire on the unsuspecting group.

In the chaos that ensued, patrons scattered in all directions, trying to escape the hail of bullets. When the dust settled, Rowe was found outside the bar with gunshot wounds to his upper body, Smith lay injured on the floor inside the bar, and McDonald was discovered with fatal wounds to his head and upper body in a pool of blood.

Outcome of the Shooting

Tragically, McDonald and Smith were pronounced dead upon arrival at the Savanna-la-mar Public General Hospital, while Rowe succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The other four victims, who also sustained gunshot wounds, were admitted for medical care.

The community of Frome and the wider Westmoreland area have been left reeling from this senseless act of violence, as friends and family mourn the loss of their loved ones. The police are actively investigating the incident, but the motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
