Dr. Akhilesh Vishwakarma, a senior doctor posted at a community health center in Surajpur district, was found hanging in his home on Tuesday evening. In a suicide note recovered by the police, Dr. Vishwakarma expressed his despair and stated that he did not wish to live anymore.

According to police officials, Dr. Vishwakarma returned home from work and locked himself in his room, where he took his own life. His son and daughter-in-law, concerned by his absence at dinner time, discovered his body hanging from the ceiling fan. The police were notified and arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation.

It was revealed during the interrogation that Dr. Vishwakarma had been battling depression. Tragically, he had experienced significant losses in his life, including the deaths of both his wives. Additionally, his son from his first marriage had also taken his own life two years ago after struggling to clear the NEET exam.

The doctor was living with his surviving son and daughter-in-law at the time of his death. A complaint has been filed with the authorities, and the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Dr. Vishwakarma’s tragic decision is ongoing.
