Accident – Death – Obituary News : A tragic incident occurred on the West Hill in Kent, where a 56-year-old Seattle man, Bruce Jerome Brooks, was struck and killed by a vehicle on Pacific Highway South. The King County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Brooks succumbed to multiple blunt force injuries, ruling his death as an accident.

According to Kent Police, the collision took place on February 26 at 24426 Pacific Highway South. Brooks reportedly entered the northbound lanes of the highway around 8:22 p.m. Emergency responders found him in the roadway and tragically, he passed away at the scene. Witnesses informed officers that they saw Brooks stepping into the northbound lanes.

Initial investigations suggest that intoxicants were not a contributing factor in the incident. The driver of the vehicle involved, a 19-year-old woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
