In a recent development, a second suspect has been apprehended in connection with the tragic killing of an 18-year-old in central Oak Cliff. Tykendriyan Duke, 19, was taken into custody on Monday and booked into the Dallas County jail on a capital murder charge, with his bond set at $1 million.

The incident took place on Feb. 17 in the 4500 block of Rockport Drive, near West Ledbetter Drive in central Oak Cliff. Authorities responded to the scene at approximately 3:30 p.m. where they discovered the victim, identified as Noah Willis, who was tragically pronounced dead on-site.
According to reports, Duke and another suspect, Laquinton Bass, 18, approached Willis and another victim as they were walking home from Walmart. The suspects demanded the victims hand over their possessions and brandished firearms during the encounter.
Despite one victim complying with the demands, Willis refused to surrender his belongings. Subsequently, Duke proceeded to shoot Willis multiple times before fleeing the scene in a vehicle driven by an accomplice.

A witness who was driving the vehicle at the time of the incident later came forward to provide crucial information to the authorities. The witness revealed that Duke had instructed him to stop the car so he could confront one of the victims about a monetary dispute.
Following the shooting, the suspects quickly returned to the vehicle and instructed the driver to leave the scene. The witness overheard Duke explaining to Bass that the situation had escalated beyond his control, claiming that he had only intended to shoot the victim in the leg.
