Teenager Arrested in Connection to Waterbury Homicide

A recent development in the case of the shooting death of 22-year-old Jordan Robinson in Waterbury has led to the arrest of a third suspect. The incident took place on Kenyon Street in December of last year, and it shocked the local community.

Details of the Incident

On December 17, 2023, officers responded to a call on Kenyon Street and found Jordan Robinson, a young man with a promising future, lying unresponsive after being shot multiple times. Despite efforts to save him, Robinson tragically passed away upon arrival at Saint Mary’s Hospital.

Robinson, a former student of Cheshire Academy and the University of New Haven, was known for his involvement in the local football program and his pursuit of a business management degree.

Arrest of Third Suspect

The latest suspect, a 17-year-old from Waterbury, was recently apprehended by authorities and is now facing serious charges related to Robinson’s death. These charges include felony murder, murder, conspiracy to commit robbery, and robbery. The suspect is currently being held on a $3.5 million bond and is expected to appear in court soon.

Previous Suspects

Earlier this year, 18-year-old Christopher Ortiz was arrested and charged with similar offences in connection to Robinson’s murder. Additionally, in December of 2023, Jeremy Rivera, also from Waterbury, was taken into custody and faced charges related to the incident.
