The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department has released the name of the man who was shot and killed in Valley Center last Friday. The victim has been identified as 46-year-old Jason Gillespie.
Location of the Incident
The tragic shooting took place at the 7500 block of Mendoza Road in Valley Center. Deputies responded to the scene at 1 p.m. and found Gillespie suffering from gunshot wounds.
Suspect in Custody
Following the incident, a 31-year-old man named Kyle Del Gregory was arrested and booked on charges of murder and assault with a deadly weapon. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear at this time.
