A devastating incident occurred in rural Tazewell County, where a fatal crash took the life of a young Beijing man. The victim, identified as 22-year-old Clay Harper from Pekin, tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle accident on Monday evening.
Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley confirmed that Harper was pronounced dead at 11 p.m. The accident took place around 10 p.m. in the vicinity of Furrow and Pfanz roads in rural Tazewell County.
The autopsy revealed that Harper succumbed to multiple blunt force injuries sustained during the crash. Toxicology reports are still pending to determine further details.
It was a harrowing scene as emergency responders arrived at the location of the accident, which involved only Harper’s vehicle. No other vehicles or passengers were involved in the tragic incident.
