Shooting Incident Near ECU Campus Shocks Pirate Community

In a recent unfortunate incident near the East Carolina University (ECU) campus in Greenville, N.C., an employee was shot, sending shockwaves through the pirate community.

Chancellor Philip Rogers addressed the incident in an email to staff and students, expressing gratitude for the swift response of the police on 5th Street, where the shooting occurred.

The injured employee, identified as Andrew Readyoff, is currently receiving treatment at ECU Health Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries, much to the relief of the university community.
