Accident – Death – Obituary News : Bhopal: A deputy sarpanch was allegedly murdered by unidentified persons in Shahdol district.
The body of Samay Lal Sahu, the deputy sarpanch of Barha Tola village panchayat under Beohari police station area, was discovered on Monday on the outskirts of the village. The locals spotted the body and immediately informed the police.
Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the deceased was Sahu. There were visible injury marks on his head, leading authorities to suspect that his head was crushed with stones or a heavy object in an attempt to conceal his identity.
The body was subsequently sent for a post-mortem examination, and a case was registered against unidentified accused. The police have assured that investigations are currently underway to determine the perpetrators of this heinous crime.

Additionally, in a separate incident, the body of a rider, Javed Sadekar, was discovered in the Mandovi river two days after being hit by a rent-a-car on the old Mandovi bridge. The rent-a-car driver, Ankit Tripathi, was arrested for drunken driving in connection with the incident.
