Tragic Shooting Incident in Waco Leads to Arrest of 18-Year-Old
An 18-year-old individual has been taken into custody and charged with manslaughter following a fatal shooting that resulted in the tragic death of a 17-year-old girl in Waco, Texas.
The Waco Police Department has confirmed that the arrest was made in connection to the shooting incident that took place on February 25, 2024, in the 3900 Block of S. Jack Kultgen Expressway. The victim, identified as 17-year-old Myesha McCants, was found with gunshot wounds at the scene and despite immediate medical attention, she sadly succumbed to her injuries after being rushed to a nearby hospital.
The individual arrested, 18-year-old Jada Millwood, was reportedly handling a firearm recklessly when it accidentally discharged, resulting in the fatal shooting of McCants. Millwood cooperated with law enforcement officials at the scene and was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the McLennan County Jail.
