In a tragic incident that occurred on the Katihar-Purnea road in Belauri, Bihar, a collision between a car carrying former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and a police vehicle has resulted in at least one fatality and injuries to half a dozen police personnel.

Purnea SP Upendra Nath Verma visited GMCH to assess the situation and stated, “One of our escort cars was involved in an accident under the Mufassil police station area in Purnea, Bihar. The driver of the car succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while the remaining six police officials sustained injuries and are being treated at GMCH Hospital. Further investigations are ongoing.” However, he refrained from commenting on whether Tejashwi Yadav was present in the convoy at the time of the accident.
