Tragic Homicide Investigation in Winnipeg’s West End

Winnipeg Police are currently investigating the heartbreaking homicide of a 26-year-old man from St. Theresa Point First Nation that occurred on Sunday night in the West End area of the city.

At approximately 11:20 p.m., authorities responded to a distress call in the vicinity of Maryland Street and Wellington Avenue regarding an injured male individual.

Upon arrival, General Patrol officers discovered the victim and immediately administered emergency medical treatment. Despite their efforts, the man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and tragically succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Kevin Delaney Flett, a member of the St. Theresa Point First Nation community.

An autopsy is currently scheduled, and the investigation is being actively pursued by the dedicated members of the Homicide Unit.
