Virginia State Police are currently investigating a devastating single-vehicle crash that resulted in the tragic death of a man from Greer, South Carolina. The incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 2:50 a.m. on Gallows Road, just four tenths of a mile north of Rockford School Road in Pittsylvania County.
Details of the Accident
According to reports, a 2015 Mini Cooper was travelling south on Gallows Road when, for reasons yet to be determined, the vehicle veered off the right side of the road and overturned multiple times, causing the driver to be ejected from the vehicle.
Identity of the Victim
The driver of the Mini Cooper has been identified as Kendall Wayne Rice, a 43-year-old man from Greer, SC. Unfortunately, Mr. Rice was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and tragically lost his life at the scene of the accident.
