Assistance Needed in Investigation of Fatal Shooting in Foxboro
The public is being asked to assist in the investigation of a fatal shooting that took place on I-95 in Foxboro. The Norfolk District Attorney’s Office is seeking to identify the owner of a gray, silver, or dark-colored sedan believed to be involved in the deadly highway shooting that occurred around 10 p.m. on February 3.
The suspect vehicle, captured by a civilian dashboard camera, is thought to be a Hyundai Sonata with cosmetic modifications. Moments after shots were fired into a black Mercedes driven by 37-year-old Justin R. Parker of North Attleboro, the Mercedes swerved into a Lexus SUV carrying a family, causing the Lexus to crash off the road. Fortunately, all occupants of the Lexus survived the incident.
After striking the center guard rail, the Mercedes came to a rest on the highway just south of Exit 17. Parker, who sustained a gunshot injury, was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital but unfortunately did not survive.
