Tragic Shooting Leaves 18-Year-Old Dead in Lauderdale Lakes

Authorities from the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) are currently investigating a tragic shooting incident that resulted in the death of an 18-year-old man in Lauderdale Lakes, a vibrant community located in Broward County, Florida.

The incident occurred on Sunday, February 25, just before 9:00 pm, in the 3700 block of North Pacific Breeze Circle, a quiet residential area in Lauderdale Lakes. Upon receiving reports of the shooting, BSO deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue swiftly responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, responders discovered an adult male victim who had sustained gunshot wounds. Despite the initiation of life-saving measures, the victim, identified as 18-year-old Decarlo Horton from Lauderdale Lakes, tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at Broward Health Medical Center.

According to a BSO news release, Decarlo Horton was swiftly transported to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment, where unfortunately, he passed away. The Broward Sheriff’s Office’s Homicide Unit and Crime Scene investigators are actively working to uncover the circumstances surrounding this devastating incident.
