Tragic Accident in San Tan Valley Claims Life of 4-Year-Old Girl
A heartbreaking incident occurred in a quiet San Tan Valley neighborhood, where 4-year-old Mia Preston lost her life after being struck by a car. The tragic event took place late last week near the intersection of Combs Road and Painted Desert Drive.
The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office received a distressing call around 5:15 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, reporting a young girl had been hit by a vehicle. Emergency responders rushed to the scene and found Preston with severe injuries. She was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, but sadly, she succumbed to her injuries.
In the wake of this devastating incident, the Pinal County Vehicular Crimes Task Force has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Preston’s untimely death. The driver involved in the accident remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities as they piece together what happened. At this time, it remains unclear whether any charges will be filed in connection with the incident.
