A devastating incident occurred on Monday morning in Carroll County, Iowa, resulting in the loss of a beloved member of the community. The Iowa State Patrol reported that a fatal car accident took place on Highway 30, near Carroll, claiming the life of 56-year-old Lisa Feilmeier from Glidden, Iowa.

Details of the Accident

The tragic event unfolded around 6 a.m. as a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox was travelling west on Highway 30 in the inside lane. At the same time, a 2017 Ford Fusion was also heading west on the inside lane of the highway. The Equinox collided with the Fusion on the rear passenger side, causing the Equinox to veer off the roadway, into a ditch, and ultimately overturn. The accident occurred near the intersection of Griffith Road and Highway 30.

Victim Identified

The driver of the Equinox, Lisa Feilmeier, was rushed to a nearby hospital following the crash but tragically succumbed to her injuries.
