Tragic Shooting Incident in Washington, NC
Over the weekend, the peaceful neighbourhood of E. 8th Street at Charlotte Street in Washington, NC, was rocked by a tragic shooting incident that left the community in shock. The incident occurred on Saturday, Feb. 25 at around 6 p.m., when officers received a report of shots fired and an injured person in the area.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a bystander performing lifesaving measures on the victim, identified as 52-year-old Eric Whitney Sr. of Washington, NC. Despite efforts to save him, Whitney succumbed to his injuries and was transported to ECU Beaufort.
