On the early morning of February 26, a devastating accident occurred near the serene Padalamma temple on the National Highway under Prathipadu police limits in Kakinada district, Andhra Pradesh. The incident tragically claimed the lives of four individuals, including a helper at the local temple.

Reports suggest that an Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus collided with four individuals near the Padalamma temple, resulting in their untimely demise. The victims, including Dasari Kishore, Dasari Suresh, Bandi Nagayya, and Dimmi Lova Raju, were going about their morning activities when the accident took place.

The three individuals from Bapatla district were in the midst of repairing their lorry, which had come to a halt on the highway due to a punctured tyre. Meanwhile, Dimmi Lova Raju, an assistant to the main priest at Padalamma temple, had stepped out for a moment when the tragedy struck.

Identification and Investigation

The Prathipadu police have identified the deceased and conducted preliminary investigations into the accident. The bodies have been sent to the local area hospital for post-mortem examinations, while a case has been registered to delve deeper into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
