The Vicksburg Police Department recently responded to a shots fired call in the 1500 block of Ethel Street. The incident occurred on Thursday, February 15, 2024, and involved two individuals shooting at another person in the area. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Arrest Made in Connection to the Incident
Following an investigation, 19-year-old Avante DeAnthony Wilson was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Weapon on Thursday, February 22, 2024. Wilson was given a bond of $250,000.
Search for Second Suspect
Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for 20-year-old Tyreese Carter for Aggravated Assault with a Weapon in connection to the incident. The investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests may follow.
