Arrest Made in Shooting Incident on Rincon Indian Reservation

Last week, a resident of Valley Center in inland North County was arrested following a shooting incident on the Rincon Indian Reservation, as reported by San Diego County Sheriff’s deputies on Monday.

Details of the Incident

Lt. Joseph Jarjura from the Sheriff’s Homicide Unit stated that deputies were called to the 7500 block of Mendoza Road on Friday afternoon around 1:00 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a 46-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was promptly airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Arrest and Charges

At the scene, deputies also recovered a rifle and detained a 31-year-old Valley Center resident, identified as Kyle Del Gregory. Del Gregory was subsequently arrested and taken into custody at the Vista Detention Facility. He is currently being held without bail and is facing multiple felony charges, including attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
