The DeKalb County police department received reports of gunshots on Glenwood Road in the early hours of Sunday at 12:19 a.m. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a 31-year-old Uber driver and a 17-year-old passenger who had sustained gunshot wounds. Both victims were quickly transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation revealed that the Uber driver was transporting the 17-year-old passenger and two friends when their vehicle was caught in the crossfire of two unidentified suspects engaged in a shooting on Emerald Falls Drive. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported in the incident.

Authorities have confirmed that no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and the investigation is still ongoing to identify and apprehend the suspects responsible for the reckless act.
