Three suspects have been apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force in connection with three separate homicides that have rocked the Cleveland area.

February 12 Homicide:

In a tragic incident on February 12, a man fell victim to a brutal shooting near E. 71st Street and Cedar Avenue in Cleveland. The victim, who was sitting in his car at the time, was tragically shot 15 times. Despite fighting for his life in the hospital, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities moved swiftly to make an arrest in connection with this heinous crime. The suspect was apprehended at a residence on the 7000 block of Morgan Avenue in Cleveland. During the arrest, a firearm was seized from the premises, aiding in the investigation.

January 5 Homicide:

On January 5, tragedy struck once again when 17-year-old Te\’Vion Cunningham, a talented Glenville High School football player, was fatally shot multiple times at a home on Seabrooke Avenue. The community was left reeling from the loss of such a promising young talent.

A 22-year-old suspect was taken into custody on January 18 in connection with the incident. Recently, a second individual linked to the crime was arrested at a residence near the 15300 block of Yorick Avenue in Cleveland.

July 18 Homicide:

On July 18, 2023, a 35-year-old individual was the victim of a senseless attack at a residence on Union Avenue. Following a verbal altercation that turned violent, the suspect shot the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

The task force acted swiftly and decisively, locating and apprehending the suspect at an apartment near the 400 block of Richmond Park East.

These incidents serve as a stark reminder of the importance of swift and effective law enforcement action in ensuring the safety and security of our communities.
