Man Arrested for Southeast Shooting in Washington D.C.
Washington D.C. has once again been rocked by violence, with a recent shooting in the Southeast neighbourhood leaving one man dead and another injured. The incident took place on October 30, 2023, at around 9:00 p.m. in the 4300 block of Halley Terrace.
Details of the Incident
Police were called to the scene following reports of gunshots, where they found a man who had been shot. He was quickly rushed to the hospital and is currently in stable condition. However, tragedy struck when officers were informed of another victim who had been brought to the hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.

Following thorough investigations, the Metropolitan Police Department arrested 21-year-old Maleek Thomas from Southeast D.C. Thomas has been charged with First Degree Murder while Armed, and is currently in police custody awaiting trial.
