An unfortunate incident occurred on February 20 on 132nd Avenue SE in Kent as 83-year-old Carlton J. Nagel tragically passed away due to a medical emergency while driving. The King County Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled the cause of death as hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, with the manner of death being natural.

According to reports from Kent Police, Nagel was behind the wheel in the 22400 block of 132nd Avenue SE around 10:16 a.m. when he pulled over to the side of the road due to a medical emergency. Unfortunately, Nagel left the car in gear, causing it to roll forward and crash.

Tragically, Nagel lost his life at the scene of the incident. His 81-year-old wife, who was a passenger in the vehicle, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

This heartbreaking event serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of life and the importance of being prepared for emergencies at all times. Our thoughts go out to the family and loved ones of Carlton J. Nagel during this difficult time.
