A tragic incident occurred at Eastview Mall in Victor, New York, on Friday, resulting in the death of a man who was involved in a crash shortly after noon. The Ontario County sheriff’s deputies suspect that a medical issue on the victim’s part led to the accident.
Details of the Incident
Authorities received a call about the incident at approximately 12:04 p.m. on Friday and promptly responded to the scene at Eastview Mall. Upon arrival, they found an unresponsive male in the driver’s seat of a tan 2009 Toyota Camry. The deputies quickly removed him from the vehicle and initiated lifesaving measures before transporting him to Strong Memorial Hospital via Victor Farmington Ambulance.
Tragically, the victim, identified as Athimoottil Varghese Mathew, was pronounced dead at 1:17 p.m. at the hospital. The Fishers Fire Department also provided assistance at the scene.
