Three individuals tragically lost their lives in a car accident on Friday on the Purvanchal Expressway in Sultanpur. The incident occurred near Seur on the expressway, where a car carrying passengers from Haryana’s Ballabgarh to Arrah in Bihar collided with a divider.

Details of the Accident

The car was en route to a wedding ceremony in Arrah when the collision occurred. Station house officer Amit Kumar Mishra from the local Kurebhar police station reported that three people died at the scene of the accident. The deceased have been identified as Chinta Devi (51), Ram Chandra Gupta (55), and Maya Devi (52), who was Gupta’s wife. Gupta’s son, Vikas (30), sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a government medical college for treatment.

Possible Cause of the Accident

The police have attributed the cause of the accident to rash driving. The Purvanchal Expressway is known for its high-speed traffic and has seen several accidents in the past due to overspeeding and reckless driving.
