Upon their arrival, deputies spoke with the three victims, who were standing by their landscaping truck when the altercation occurred. According to witness statements, the man involved, identified as Charles Calhoun, 66, emerged from his nearby home and began shouting obscenities at the workers.

An arrest affidavit revealed that Calhoun then proceeded to pull out a handgun from his waistband and point it at each of the workers, escalating the situation further.
