Two individuals have recently been apprehended in relation to a tragic shooting incident that occurred in south-west Sydney last year. The incident took place on Broughton Street in Canterbury, where police responded to reports of gunfire in the early hours of the morning.
Details of the Incident
Upon arriving at the scene, authorities discovered a man with gunshot wounds who unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Ferenc “David” Stemler.
Initial Arrest
Following investigations, a 23-year-old woman was arrested in Wetherill Park and charged with murder in connection to the shooting. She appeared in court yesterday and was denied bail, with her next court appearance scheduled for April 18.
Subsequent Arrest
Today, at approximately 9.40am, a 27-year-old man in a correctional facility was also taken into custody. Police anticipate charging him with murder as the investigation into the incident continues.
