Police investigation underway in Hollywood after shooting incident
HOLLYWOOD — In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a possible double shooting occurred in Broward County, leading to the death of at least one man and the hospitalization of another individual. The incident took place around 12:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Sterling Road and Sheridan Street in Hollywood.
Upon receiving a 911 call, law enforcement promptly responded to the scene. Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims, one of whom was tragically pronounced dead. The deceased individual has not been publicly identified at this time. The other victim was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital, although their current condition remains unknown.
Homicide detectives have since taken over the investigation, combing through the area for any potential leads or evidence that may shed light on the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
